well was outta station.. but somehow my parallel port never got fixed..
i was here to ask what should i used to delay the relay but everything got messed up :p

Well guys finally my parallel port is busted adn i have decided not to change the circuit and leave it as it is..
becuase otherwise i would messs something else, but still your last recommendation is what i am looking forward adn if any one can give me link for sending interrupt through USB...
yeah i know about that codeproject post, i refered to that only making this whole thing there after.. :)
but my parallel port is gone now.. cant do it much till i get a new one that fits to PCI slot
got a new optocoupler, gonna fix it and let you know guys :)

ya the USB port is working quite fine.. i guess it is the parallel port or the optocoupler which blew up.. i will check it later today by replacing optocoupler
oh i gues everything is fine but now i messed everything..
there are two chances
1. my computers parallel port is damaged
2. The opto-coupler is RIP
So how this happened?
Well as written above, i tried to give +5v from USB wires to the optocoupler's 1 PIN. But i dont know what was wrong it...

First i made the circuit as shown above.. Now relay has three points, one is common and other two are for switching..
When I send value 1 from computer, the relay ticks and the circuit is on..
