If you are defining a stripline, it is the same as the waveguide port. If you are defining a microstrip line, add a polarization line with the port, it will be OK!

the most important purpose of SAW filter is to reject the IF mirror signal in the receiver. It is usually small and shape so it is easily adopted in mobile phone. But in more advanced phone receivers archtecture such as direct conversion, Saw is often eliminated to cut down...
depend on your application, in ultra-wide band, the pattern and phase is mostly the points you must check. And in relative narrow band (still UWB) , VSWR you must check too because it is more like the traditional antenna.
