fringer number of mos
I am designing a Limiting Amp, process is ST0.13um, when W/L=23/0.13, the BW is about 3GHz, but if gate fringer number >1, the BW is larger with peaking. As I knew using fringer configuration can reduce the Capacitance of Gate, becasue of the areas shared, But what induce...
What I did is not LNA, this LA NF shall be higher than 16dB, it is for optical application, actually the NF is not so important for LA, of course I still want to know how noisey it is . because TIA decide most of NF for optical reciver block, but I don't know does input matching and output...
I design limiting Amp, just at simulaton level. It is 10Gb/s LA. gain is 47dB.
1.I have not design input buffer and output buffer. using ST 0.13 process
2.How can I measure the NF in cadence?
3Is there any NF difference between the LA core only and with inan dout put buffer? I need help.
As I...

Thank you for you reply. The system is 5 identical 2nd order cherry-hooper stage. Do you have any suggestion about the 2nd BW? Is there any forumla for 2nd order system.
I do have other question. How to measure the BW of diff Amp? Is the that correct, if I just measure one of diff output? The...
I design a diff amp, I measure -3dB BW @ one of the outputthe is about 7GHz, about when I check the transient response, the rasie-fall time is about 27ps, this is indicate the BW is more than 10GHz, I don't know the explaination of this? Could you please help me.
I design a limiting amplifier, it is 5 identical cherryhooper amp chain. The simulation result of -3dB BW of one end is about 7GHz, but the rise-fall time is less than 30ps, it looks like the -3dB BW is larger than 10GHz, I can't explain this. Can one fellow help me? One guy told me in one book...
