hi i'm using philips microcontroller... the output of barcode reader comes via rs-232 port.. when i connect rs-232 to microcontroller, lcd display doesnt show up anything.. can any1 help me to sort out?
thanks for the reply..:-) i googled on FT232 and got a circuit too.. in that, it connects the RTS#,CTS# of FT232 to RTS, CTS of microcontroller.. i dono whether a microcontroller contains RTS, CTS pin...:-( can u help me? plz send me a circuit diagram if u've..

my output is coming from the usb cable of bar code scanner... i need to feed it inside microcontroller for further analysing? can i directly interface usb of bar code reader with AT89C51 or with P89V51RD2? please help me.. i've to submit it by next week.... plzzzz...
