The sum up of electric field patterns for two discrete ports in CST

Hi all, I have a structure in CST with two discrete ports. I have already defined 5 field monitors for a frequency range to see field patterns in T solver. But the results are for each port, I mean in 2D/3D results, there are 10 patterns for both port. Is there a way that I have the sum up of...

why wave factor for water is 10?

Hi everyone, I have a very basic question. lets say we send 200MHz wave into water (150cm wavelength), somebody told me that i have to divide that wavelength by 10. is it the wave factor for water? why 10? where that 10 comes from? I ll appreciate all you answers, Thank you!:-D

creat a 3D field rectangular plot

Dear loucy Thanks for the reply. Yes, I was able to view that contour plot for a plane. but I was looking to find a way to make a 3d report for electric field for a plane, which is not availble in HFSS. However, I could manage to extract raw data for a plane and then using MATLAB to plot it...

creat a 3D field rectangular plot

Thank you ''e_m_c'' for your reply, eventually could find a way to do this with MATLAB!

creat a 3D field rectangular plot

Hi to all, Have a problem and working on it for one week, no progress:cry: I think it is so easy, I know, but I can't find how to do it. I'm trying to plot electric field for a particular plane, a 3D report. I can do it for a line: I define a line in my structure first, then HFSS/Results/Creat...

    why quarter wavelength/half wavelength?

I found in this field, like an antenna, they mention these two alot. why is that for???

    why quarter wavelength/half wavelength?

Hi to all, I just joint to edaboard and this is my first question in here. I am naive in RF and Microwave subject. I will appreciate if someone explain to me why λ/2 or λ/4. Sorry I know it is too basic!
