Voltage to frequency converter using FPAA

Hello, I am using Anadigm FPAA for designing a voltage to frequency converter. There is no CAM readily available for VFC in Anadigm designer and the resources are limited. I need to design a VFC of high resolution and linearity. Is there any one who is already familiar in this topic? Thank you.

How to connect audio line into mic?

Hi, One simple solution you can try..... Just connect a 1uF capacitor in series to speaker mic connection. This will isolate the DC level and impedence of speaker and mic.

    frequency generator output causing problem

The output voltage of the frequency generator is kept 5V, square wave mode. The crosstalk happens only with function generator output and not with crystal oscillator output which is of the same voltage level. I tried with 20K pulldown resistors, but there is no change. Regards Praveen

    frequency generator output causing problem

Hi, I designed a simple 3 channel frequency measuring unit with PIT(82C54) and a microcontroller. It measures the frequency from 3 channels simultaneoulsy and display it in an LCD. I am using the read-back function of PIT to indicate the null count. And I have given pull down resistors(10k) at...

Limiting Resistor for 7 segment LED display

common cathode Hi, I tested the display with a single resistor at common cathode... I connected each anode to the output of D latch and it worked fine.... and I did'nt find any difference in brightness...

Limiting Resistor for 7 segment LED display

led 1k resistor This will happen if I am connecting LED to a common driving point. If I use a D latch for switching the LEDs, there will be 7 separate driving points. So it is similar to, driving each LED from different sources. And I think, there will not be issue related to current also. Am...

Limiting Resistor for 7 segment LED display

7 segment display resistors Hi, Why do I need 7 seperate current limiting resistors for 7 segment LED display? Is there any problem in connecting a single resistor of high wattage at the cathode(in case of common cathode)?

Voltage to Frequency Convertor - output unstable

I use MF resistors and tantalum capacitors. If its values are varying with temparature, what can be done for temparature compensation?

Voltage to Frequency Convertor - output unstable

Sorry...there was some problem with measuring device, thats why the output switched. I reconnected the circuit , and fed a constant input voltage. Now I found that the output frequency is gradually increasing. In 2 hrs there is a deviation of 10Hz. All the compenents values are exactly as per...

Voltage to Frequency Convertor - output unstable

I am using tantalum capacitors. The output frequency is varying but not abruptly, it only switches between two values. I tried no. of times with different ICs. I have attached the circuit diagram. For my application it is undesirable that the output frequency vary for a constant input voltage...

Voltage to Frequency Convertor - output unstable

I am designing a simple voltage to frequency convertor using LM331. I followed the same circuit which is recommended in its datasheet. But I found the output frequency varying(swings within two values) for a constant input voltage. I tried for different range of inputs but the result was same...
