Suggest device for 100+ FPS camera board

Yes Andre, that's all the need as of now. The whole issue is about interfacing to a particular camera chip, else it all would've been done by now :(

Suggest device for 100+ FPS camera board

I could get an ARM+GPU - am currently thinking of using a Beaglebone black or RPi2. Sorry I missed these details but I do need a real time unit. The principal function is to grab images from the sensor as fast as possible and store them on to a SD card (or some other memory) so that these...

Suggest device for 100+ FPS camera board

AFAIK, what andre has said stands true. And even more so with Linux. I see lots of context switches even when no "extra" software is running...and a processor, I suspect, would miss out on some frames. UNLESS I could get a 2-core or 4-core processor and dedicate a core solely to capturing...

Suggest device for 100+ FPS camera board

Thanks. I need very little image manipulation (maybe a little image cropping and such). I said VGA resolution. But forgot to mention that it's at 8-bit or 10-bit depth (depending on what image quality I get). And the pixel rate would be ~300K pixels per image x 100+ images per second = 30 M...

Suggest device for 100+ FPS camera board

Hello, I'm a researcher trying to build a device that grabs RAW monochrome VGA images from a fast, LVDS camera (100+ frames per second) and stores them onto a SD card, and also drives a touch LCD (plus a trifle little other logic) I'm wondering what would be the correct development platform...

IR controlled DC Motors using arduino uno

Looks like a nice video. BTW, why did you post it here? This is the forum for asking for help. Better move this to "show your DIY" https://www.edaboard.com/forums/56/

Generating and comparing waves with different frequencies using arduino

What frequencies do you wish to generate? If they are low enough then you could use PWM to generate them. Also, what do you mean by compare them? Compare what - frequency ? amplitude ? Specify as much detail as possible

    8051 with RTC DS12887 problem

Elaborate the problem. And give any associated information. Someone here might have an answer

    Buying 3 axis translational stage

Hi all, I need a 3 axis transnational stage. I've looked at the top search results in google (thorlabs, sk advanced etc.) and boy, are they expensive! Price point is a big issue since I'm trying to develop a medical imaging (diagnostic) device for the masses and want to keep the cost low. So...

Recommendations: Camera module for Raspberry Pi/Beagleboard

Oh, got it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Recommendations: Camera module for Raspberry Pi/Beagleboard

Re: [Moved]high speed link between uC & Android - possible ? @FvM : Oh yes, that's a typo. It should read 4 MBps Thanks !

[SOLVED] MATLAB Code for Latent Fingerprint Enhancement via Multi-Scale

    (1) It might help to remove the [solved] tag (2) It would definitely help to ask for help on building the code (rather than the code itself - I don't think anyone would provide you that here. At least not for free)

Recommendations: Camera module for Raspberry Pi/Beagleboard

Oh really sorry - I didn't notice it's a link. I have now sent them an email requesting delivery to India (although it's strange that they are selling a $3 part for $76. What a huge margin!) Thanks again!

Recommendations: Camera module for Raspberry Pi/Beagleboard

@anandpv : Unfortunately, I absolutely need global shutter. But I'm curious about your comment on RP - it's 1 GHz, 512 MB RAM. Shouldn't it be able to record a 100 FPS VGA video (my calculations say the datarate from camera will be 32 Mbps or 4 MBPS). @andre_teprom : Oh yes, that's my first...

Recommendations: Camera module for Raspberry Pi/Beagleboard

[Moved]high speed link between uC & Android - possible ? Hi all, I need a uC that can take about 400 MegaBytes / sec of data via a serial port (from a monochrome VGA camera @ 100 FPS) and pass it on to an Android tablet/phone. The questions popping in my head are - (a) which would be the...
