I have been searching online for some “Rules of thumb” dealing with amplifier circuits phase response with no luck. When does the phase shift of an amplifier circuit need to be addressed?
explorer 16 development board
I have a Explorer 16 development board from Microchip and blew the 3.3v regulator. The recommended supply to the board is 9-15v. The supply I was giving it was from a wall transformer that was suppost to be 12v, but was putting out a little over 16v. I’m thinking...
pictail connector
I don’t see any part number on mine. I wouldn’t recommend trying to build your own, it’s a pretty dense board. I would just buy one they are cheap for what you get. If you would like some measurements on the 120 pin connector still I can measure the contact spacings etc.
I need to design a filter that has independent gain values at two different frequencies. Do you basically run the original signal threw two filters in parallel then add these two signals together?
Re: measure the capacitance between a probe and a piece of m
Thanks for your help artem, you are probably right, I just figured that the plate being grounded threw the machine would be too noisy to be reliable. The probe is a one piece. Anyways does anyone know away to measure this capacitance?
Re: measure the capacitance between a probe and a piece of m
I actually have this device at work and it does work with a piece of steel lying on carpet not connected to ground. When the device is on a machine the plate should be grounded threw the machine but the device itself does not connect...
Re: measure the capacitance between a probe and a piece of m
Sorry for being so vague. The probe has an area of about 5.5 in^2. The sheet of metal is much larger than the probe so I guess it could be assumed as infinite. Below is a link to a device for a similar application...
About what capacitance range should I expect with a capacitance height control circuit such as this? The capacitance is measured between the probe and a sheet of steel.

txt file format?
I am currently working on a project were I need to transfer information from a microcontroller to a pc. I want the information to be sent as a text file and use windows hyperterminal. Does anyone know what format text files are in? Is it just ASCII?
access serial port using inpout32.dll vb6
What is the best language to write windows programs to access the serial port? I have a little experience with C/C++.
