Barry finely enlisted one of the possibilities, the shock while connecting board to PC serial port is simply an "Earthing" or "Grounding" issue. About the first shock, well it might be an effect of tip heat rather than shock unless your soldering iron is primitive !!!
The zeal you are showing to help is really creditable , but let the discussion and problem solving be done in the forum itself so that others can gain the benefit .
well interesting idea but first you will have to clarify "as simple system as we can" , what resolution for video have you planned , the bitrate for sound , the bandwidth , fps , type of camera , etc .
Just go through various related help topics , come up with a combination and then ask for...
Re: need analog electronics from beginner to expert
You have asked a question regarding analog electronics in the forum for microcontrollers , please take note that edaboard has also got a highly active ANALOG ELECTRONICS forum , which is accessible through the main page of the site , there are...
basically you need to set the contrast of your LCD , as you are using a ready made board , see the manual to locate the "CONTRAST POT" that must be available somewhere around the LCD socket
see 8051 has a DIVIDE by 12 circuit built inside. So first of all divid ur clk freq by 12 and then inverse gives execution time for each cycle.
12MHz/12 = 1MHz
Execution time = 1/1MHz = 1uS
so it will take 1uS for setting bit and then 1uS for reset bit
Hence 2uS
Hence frq = 1/2uS = 500kHz...
hey try searching the forum , you will find ample of threads and posts (even tutorials) regarding your application , which in fact you have not specified !!!!
