    About short antenna ?

I know the short antenna is capacitive . My question is The short dipole and λ/2 dipole can has the same resonance frequency . How can it do that ? (the same resonance frequency for short dipole and λ/2 dipole) The physical structure is needed for resonance . Why is the length for short...

    About short antenna ?

Dear friends The best length for resonance on dipole is λ/2 , but short dipole could be used λ/10 . We know that performance for dipole in λ/2 is better . In reality , we often need short dipole for mechanical design . The short dipole and λ/2 dipole can has the same resonance frequency...

Why do the satellite use high frequency ?

The high frequency spectrum get wide bandwidth . On the view of wave propagation The path loss of EM wave is large in high frequency . So .. Why do the satellite still use high frequency ? (even in long distance) welcome to any comments .

    Input power for antenna ?

**broken link removed** This link is't work . I have some idea , but I don't know if it's right . For example : antenna operation for 2.4GHz band 1. Input 2.4GHz signal for an antenna 2. DC signal input for an antenna , and it gets 2.4GHz resonance frequency for operation What's...

    Input power for antenna ?

input power of antenna May I ask a stupid question ? An input power for antenna is DC or AC ? Why is using this type of input ? Thanks for any comments.

Thanks for sweetughirish's response Do anyone have some comments for this question ?

One confused question about antenna (please help)

thanks for your reply . The R meets my discription 1. , but what is the relation between it and return loss ? I think the return loss and R are different.

One confused question about antenna (please help)

Dear all characteristic for antennas 1. The quality factor (Q) is nagtive proportional to bandwidth (BW) . The high loss leads to low quality factor , and it gets wide bandwidth. 2. But it views on return loss , the lower return loss can also get wide bandwidth. What is the relation...

    inverted f microstrip patch antenna

circular patch antenna using ansoft designer HFSS is an another usual tool to design and simulate antennas . but it's slower than IE3D here fourm has its' handbook manual.

Why we take antenna height always at λ/2 and &#

Re: Height of Antenna I agree with vfone . The length for small antennas is usually λ/4 or λ/2 due to the resonance structure. But the antenna height is usually close to the ground because of the coupling.

Using 65 degree directional antenna instead of 120 degree one in CDMA

Re: directional antenna the less degrees of beam get more gain , and the transmitting power can be saved.

antenna design which can show the radiation pattern

Re: antenna design software if you want run the antenna in high frequencies , the Ansoft HFSS is good for you. It don't need to write codes , and easy to learn.
