From what I've read from the various threads, CCS PIC C and HiTech C are the best around but they are also very expensive.
Fored wizc is less expensive but I don't know if it a really good compiler.

During autorouting Protel connects the nets to the IC pins on the top layer (instead the bottom one). In this way I need , each time, to manually place vias before IC pins in order to connect the top layer to the bottom...
