This core has little documentation to start with, when compared with LEON2 or others. Therefore, you have to prepare to try and error before you could target it on your platform.
They prefer Xess XCV800 but I think it is trival to target on any Xilinx devices with sufficient LUT.

Also, I got problem with saved configuration file at impact.
If I save a configuration and open it next time, it always gives error message and the bit stream loading is unsuccessful, however, the loading of bit stream will be okay if I open the bit stream and select the download method step by...
It is always meaningless to protect the code from external bus, no matter what encryption you made between the mcu and external rom, the data could always read using a logic analyzer probing the bus.
So, if you want security, go to use one with internal rom, or make your own asic.

yes the 2002.05-1 is patched for redhat 72, and 2002.05 is for redhat 62.

It is very important to use the recommended os version for snps's products or otherwise you will get trouble in the GUI.

if u want to use vhdl to describe a static ram for a fpga, you could explicitly instantiate the fpga's ram primitive, like blockRAM in Xiline.
if you want to use vhdl to describe a static ram for any type of fpga that use its primitves, I think you have problem doing it in a single description...
