How to check recevied power in the HFSS port?

Hi! I'm simulating a 4*1 receiver antenna array in HFSS. I want to check the antenna performance in the receiving mode. Now I put a plane wave source in the antenna array's far-field. I can observe received E-field and H-field in the substrate moving into the port. But I don't know how to...

Floating input/output Problem in post simulation

Hi! Only one rule file is needed in the PEX setup window. So I just added the calibre.rcx file. I don't think i missed the rule file. But what is the view-switching setup?

Floating input/output Problem in post simulation

Hi all, I met a floating nets problem during the post-simulation. The DRC and LVS are cleaned. But when I used calibre PEX, many warnings: floating input/output occurred in the calibreview schematic. All the rf_cap, rf_ind and rf_mos models and sone other unkown instances are floating, so I...

the return loss in the simulation of AMC unit cell

Oh, I've put a "conductor backing" at the backside of the substrate. Really? Do you think this could be the best result for a lossy substrate? Actually, I've reviewed many papers about on-chip AMC, but all of them don't show the S11 of the AMC unit cell.

the return loss in the simulation of AMC unit cell

Thank you for your reply! The substrate is not a conductor. It's a semiconductor. Because I'm designing an on-chip AMC structure, so the substrate is lossy Silicon. Do you have any idea to improve the S11

the return loss in the simulation of AMC unit cell

Hi, everyone! I am simulating an on-chip 77GHz Artificial magnetic conductor(AMC) structure. When I simulated the AMC unit cell in HFSS, I got the rigth in-phase frequency but the return loss S11 is around -10dB which means only few waves are reflected by AMC. Do you have any idea to increase...

[SOLVED] Repeat a Unit Cell over an area in HFSS

Maybe you could try duplicate. Select your unit cell and right click->edit->duplicate->along line, then apply the distance you want and you could change the total number to get the numbers of unit cell you want. Hope it could help you!

Couldn't get right radiation pattern of an on-chip monopole antenan

Hello guys! I'm simulating a CPW fed on-chip monopole. But the right radiation pattern couldn’t be obtained at 79GHz even when the length of antenna is changed from 0.2mm to 0.9mm. But I could get a good radiation pattern at around 50 to 60GHz whatever the antenna’s length is. solution freq is...
