Hi guys
I have designed and simulated a single stage Mixer in ADS. However, I would like to go for the ADS layout now. I am cluless as to how should I proceed with it
Can anybody please guide me with this .I am attaching the schematic of my circuit
Hi Folks
I am using the Infineon HBT BFP640/620 for my project on Mixer design. BFP640/620 is a SOT343 package [Datasheet attached] I am really
puzzled by the substrate-base connection which they have shorted . I am not able to explain why they have done that .
I implemented the package in ADS...
I was going through a book and it was mentioned BJTs are minority carrier devices and hence they do not switch well at higher frequencies [roughly above fT/10]
Can anyone explain it to me please? Does it have anything to do with mobility factor 'u' of carriers ?
Lets keep resistor values aside . Lets consider the power divider to be 3 port with port one as input port.
I was referring to a simple unequal resistive power divider and I would like to derive the value of attenuation[in db] at port 3 when we know the attenuation at port 2 .As Bigboss pointed...
Here are my analysis [Producing results which DO NOT match the values given in the table ]
Lets assume the loss from port 1 to port 2 is 1.72db . Since its a loss , I take it as -1.72db .
Using (db)=20 log V2/V1 we get V2/V1 =0.82 or V2=0.82V1
Now , this implies for a 2 way unequal power...
Hi folks
Here is a paper by G Adams on resistive power dividers. Can anyone please explain to me table 1 ?
The paper says if u get 1.7 db loss from port one to port 2 , u'll get 20 db loss from port 1 to port 3
can anyone derive this?
Thanks for the reply guys The link which you provided for downloading AVR Studio seems to be not working.Could you please post some other link

sorry guys its working
thanks everybody
Hello
I have to use the Atmel Controller Atmega32 in a project.
I need a compiler to convert a program written in atmega32 assembly code to intel hex format.
Can anyone suggest a name of any such compliers . Are they available:wink: for FREE DOWNLOADING
@albbg
With all due respect
I think u have made a slight mistake here.
When a pulse source[source impedance 50ohm] is 50ohm terminated , the voltage for which it is set is the voltage drop across the 50ohm load resistance .This implies the internal circuitry of pulse generator produces twice...
@albbg
thanks for ur reply
Vout(DC) should be 0 Volts [understood]
but i did not understand
Vout(DC) = (5*100ns+Offest*99.9us)/100us
Also I did not get why is the circuit divide by 2
Lets do one thing ....lets keep it simple [for my understanding] by disconnecting the inductor
could you...
My question is
Why should the baseline vary ?
---------- Post added at 07:25 ---------- Previous post was at 07:17 ----------
Now , The way I have corrected for the baseline is as follows :
Step1] I calculate Average value of pulse
Step2] Depending on the sign of the average value I...
Thanks for the replies guys .Well I'll frame my query like this ::
I am designing a bias tee circuit where I'll be giving in a pulse at one port, dc at other and from the third port I'll get RF+DC . I am feeding pulses at 50Khz with 100ns pulse width and the designed bias tee works fine. The...
