Hi Vfone,
Thanks a lot for you kind help and picture.
So it means even without this emitter to ground capacitor this circuit will oscillate? This is somehow different from Razavi's book "Design of Analog CMOS integrated Circuit".
Thanks again for the reply. It's helpful. I'll try to see...
Hi Expert,
I recently receive some question on an oscillator in some AM transmitter. I searched the web and find this circuit. According to author, the oscillator is some kind of "hartley oscillator". But shouldn't "Hartley Oscillator" consists of two coupled inductors? And based on my...
Does anyone know how the ring would look like? For example, in a perfect L,Switch,Diode,Cap circuit, will the ringing always oscillating? Or will it damp? I'm seeing some strange waveform like a diode-modulated multi-frequency pulse. And it seems it will last forever.
thanks jlee. It helps.
Furthermore, is it a deisgne issue if I can not get 50% duty cycle for a square wave divider?
Is it a good practice to always generate 50% duty cycle output ?
Anyway, thanks all.
thanks vfone;
If anybody can give me some information on where an non-equal during time of high level and low level, I'll appreciate your help.
(I should say other than 50% duty cycle)
Regards.
Hi, experts,
I have couple of questions regarding divider designs:
1. What's the main operating frequency for modern dividers ? > 2g?
2. Is the divider output a squre wave ? Is it required that the high level time equal to low level time ? If not , what's purpose of this type of divider ...
Thanks,bastos4321 and sutapanaki.
basto, what do you use for schematic ? Cadence analog artist?
sutapanaki, thanks for your enlightenment. Though I know it is hard for analog design to be automatic, there is still ways of using software to help, as basto uses. But from your statements, I guess...
hmmm...
I happened to know, that currently, HSPICE doesn't support any phase noise simulation.
Disappointed ?
But, I also happended to know, that labled as 2004.3 and planned to be release on someday of 2004, a RF version HSPICE will be out.
This version would be good at dealing with phase...
Gets some information from all your posts.
I got a question about analog design, would you please talk about how do
you get the layout for your design? I mean which tool you are using.
or the steps to the layout.
Thanks in advance
Do you mean transistor itself or the biased transistor by
saying "Class A/B/C transistors"?
In my opinion, it should related mostly to the bias condition, not the transistor itself.
For example, Class A means we bias the transistor to work in full period while Class B in just half period.
Comments?
OK, I missed the point.
In fact, I played with the double balanced diode mixer for some time.
So, is the Godz's docs all right. I finally get my doc done.
But it might be same as Godz's because I find the size is just same.
It is by Gilbert from analog.com.
passive mixer?
Is it possible? for a mixer, you must get a non-linear
behavior, then you should get non-linear R/L/C?
Anyone known of this, please provide docs.
Thanks.
