SCR, TRIAC and SIDAC MODELS for SIMetrix SIMPLIS

Hi ! I need simulation models for scr, triacs and sidac to be loaded in the SIMetrix SIMPLIS circuit simulator. Fornmat models to be Spice2 or Pspice Any help will be pleasant Thanks Newton

    Increasing the SCR holding current

FvM: To be more precise, there are two SCR in an antiparallel configuration, and 2 SIDACS. This arrangmentis to allow a higher discharge current. The circuit as is posted is for ignition of gas discharge bulbs, mercury vapour, or sodiun, but is going to be modified to ignite TIG torches...

    Increasing the SCR holding current

Hi FvM ! Here is the circuit: In the schematic the SIDAC symbol is a SCR and a SIDAC ( sidadc shunting the anode to the gate ) I am afraid that increasing the capacitor Cd and reducing the Rs the SCR-SIDAC could be continuously conducting. Thanks for any advise Newton

    Increasing the SCR holding current

Hi FvM ! For sure 100A/us is the di/dt dynamic curret rise, Thanks for your advise and sorry for my confusion. I just put a note in the post as "edit " to clarify my question. By the way iI am looking for a method of incresi the scr holding current. Regards Newton

    Increasing the SCR holding current

Hi All ! I have one capacitor discharging circuit with a 0.15 uF capacitor that discharge 230V into a 5uH coil at the rate of 120~360 times per second. The discharge is provided by a SCR, TYN1225, that have a holding current of 100A/us. The circuit worksfine, HOWEVER I want increase the...

    ARC STARTER 4 TIG welder

Hi Okto2005 ! Thank very much ! I whent to the site you has sujested and get full info for the ZCD. I already apply the info in a circuit with 1 transistor. The result is nice. Good synch so far. The coil used is coiled by myself, working as flyback converter. The zcd "trigger " a mosfet...

zero cross detector that produce 0V to 5V output

voltage detector Hi everyone ! Im looking for a zero voltage detector, a circuit that make a pulse every time that the line voltage (230V, 60Hz) cross the zero voltage. It will be used to fire a thiristor or a IGBT. Any suggestion ?? Regards

    ARC STARTER 4 TIG welder

tig welder arc starter schematic Here more information: The TIG welder is machine that supplies 30~250A, 20~30V to the welding electrode. The electrode to start to weld needs a high voltage pulse. This pulse is synchonized with the AC line (230V, 40A, single phase) The arc starter shall...

    ARC STARTER 4 TIG welder

tig arc starter Hi everyone ! Im newton, involved in the design of a arc starter for TIG arc weld. The project is running for 2 years, a lot of inprovements have been done. Actually I need to synchronyze the arc starter with the line frequency (120Hz), a zero voltage cross circuit is...
