i need to build a gsm-modem (as small as possible!!!!!) and want to add a ceramic-pedaband-antenna to an existing gsm-module(Sierra Wireless, WS6318).
unfortunately my baseboard is quite small so i'd like to simulate the combination ceramic-antenna against minimum...

tried to simulate a simple biquad-antenna with HFSS but the S11 and the radiation-pattern are not that what i'm expecting ... what i'm doing wrong?!

- connect the hot end to the center of the antenna!
- where to connect the cold side???

i've drawn a 2D geometrie in autocad and imported this by DXF import to HFSS. i can see the correct object in HFSS!
Q: how do i generate a 3D model from the imported dxf geometrie?
