Hi,
How to insert more than one via to ground in a microstrip line on ads?
I'm trying to ground properly this via, but i don't know how do that... And is my via correct? I used the VIA GND component...
Thanks
I put 50 Ohms on Z0 and i get some Width (determines the impedance of the line), but for the length can i determine arbitrary? Or i should set an specific Electrical Length?
I think my question isn't clear, i used the smith chart tool on ADS to match the antenna with rectifier and i got this:
I did the calculation of the microstrip lines in ads line calc tool:
I want to insert another trace before my matching circuit, and don't change my matching frequency...
Hi,
I'm studying this harverster circuit
I have a simple and newbie question, i know that i need to connect all these components with traces, but i know also that can't be arbitrarily, i need to calculate all traces to not affect the circuit behavior, but how can i do that? With quarter...
Thank you Dr. Volker, i will try to do that.
I realize that my footprint is different of yours. This is the datasheet that i used.
Cause i'm new in PCB design i'm not so sure about my footprint layout, is that correct?
And just one more question, what is the difference between VIAGND and...
Hi,
I tried to create the layout of a component (Schottky diode on SOD882 package). For that i created a schematic to model the parameters, a symbol, and a layout to draw the pads, Solder mask, etc...
First of all for the layout of the component i used:
Cond layer to pads
Solder mask...
Hi,
I'm starting with ADS Momentum, and now i'm doing some circuits just to see the results. I made a simple circuit and set the S21 parameters, but i get differents results of my schematic simulation and my momentum simulation.
Here is my Schematic
My Layout and substrate settings...
I know that's the normalized impedance showed in smith chart tool.
My question is: why in my simulated circuit which the Zin(Impedance of the rectificator) is in the first image(Real and imaginary part) i dont get 50+j*0 but 25.506+j*13.420
My Circuit
Input Impedance
Thanks
Hello everybody
I am a little confused with the smith chart matching tool.
The source impedance is the impedance of an antenna (50 Ohms), the rectifier impedance is 20.043 +j222.779. (Zin = Vin/I_Probe1.i)
Am i doing something wrong ?
I was expecting something near to 50 Ohms to real...
Dr. Volker Can you recommend me some videos or material that shows all these considerations you are talking (i mean modelling the pad and stuff)? I can't see all these things yet and i don't want bothering you with all these questions... but i need a accurate model to fabricate, i need to write...
Yes, you are right... I'm reading some papers and i bought a book, but i'm a little confused yet... But can you help me with this simulation issue? Am i doing the simulation incorrectly?
Thanks
Hi Dr.Volker Why i have different results, the harmonic balance controller influences the result?
This is the config with the smith chart tool, and S11 in dB
And this is the config. with just the S-parameters controller
Which one is the correct?
