    Gold plated OR Silver plated

Generally, gold plating has good tarnish resistance than silver plating. So silver plating life is less than gold plating. If they added the tarnish protection coating in silver plating then both plating may be have same life.

How to use field replaceable SMA connector for best data.

Yes. My test setup is good. As you stated, discontinuity of centre PIN is a matter at high frequency (>5 GHz). I came to enquire this because of this type connectors are supplying by all vendors. If so then there will be a root to get the best data.

How to use field replaceable SMA connector for best data.

Hi, Thank you so much. But already I have this information. I am explaining my situation. I separate centre PIN dia can be 11-16mil. I used 12mil. But Return loss data is only 15dB at 20GHz but specification is 20dB. So I am missing something. Is there any common procedure to use field...

How to use field replaceable SMA connector for best data.

Supplier is Dynawave. Connector type is 4 hole square flange field replaceable connector. We need to insert the separate centre PIN in centre of the connector to get the launch. There I am missing something.

How to use field replaceable SMA connector for best data.

Hi all, I am using SMA field replaceable connector. It has working but not as per the supplier spec. The concern is centre PIN which is separate part. It has to be insert while testing the connector and DUT (solder with PCB). So if anybody have experience on this type connector please help me...

"Defected Microstrip Structure" (DMS) in ADS

Use the given link and download the "pdf" file from the website. https://abhargava.wordpress.com/2012/11/02/finite-ground-and-defected-ground-structures-dgs-in-ads-momentum/ It tell you the settings of defected ground structure (DGS). DGS and DMS is almost same.

microstrip and coplanar is different (just check with google). But you can use the coplanar settings to define the microstrip settings. Both will be same

    LNA PCB thickness important

Frequency range is 1.2GHz-1.4GHz. Also, the circit has few biasing components. These components were fixed for 10mils board but now I am gonna use it in 60mils board. Is this OK? Thanks.

5th order Butterworth Bandpass Filter Design

Hi, You need butterworh response then it should not be a LP+HP cascaded and it must BPF only. If you not worrying about butterworth resposne, go ahead with LP+HP cascaded. Next, order of filter will be based on your stopband rejection level.

    LNA PCB thickness important

Hi, I want to use surface mount LNA in my module. Vendor had tested the LNA in 10mils thickness board and posted the data for that. But my module board thickness is 60mils. Could I use it in 60mils thickness board and what are change could I expect? Thanks.

"Defected Microstrip Structure" (DMS) in ADS

Hi, Use ADS help and search with name of momentum simulation. It will help you. If you using ADS2012 -Designing a Coplanar Waveguide Bend is a key name (it has all the information).
