Can anybody tell me why it is said that in SS7 signalling, signalling and voice take different paths. I think the same E1 16th time slot is used. If different trunks are used then it would be a burden on the system's capacity. I am so confused here.

can anybody tell me how unwanted dc voltages can be generated in twisted pair cables laid for telephony purposes underground. I think that EMI and other couplings only generate ac voltages. Can there be any reason?
