    I think it is not a OS problem or any software problem,It's due to Hardware problem. Open your CPU and clean it very carefully.Remove the RAM and Processor clean it and fix it again.     Why u donot try Windows XP? First installed XP and Then push the your bios button (F1 or F11 whatever).

    Power with reading the voltage and current difference

    I faced the problem about continuesly reading the voltage and current difference ,as i used PT & CT with ZCD .I am displaying these on LCD(16x2) but i can't get continuesly varying readings ,instead of that it will give next reading when reset.

    The battery of laptop - use or not with AC adapter?

    It will not affected to your laptop. But after some days the battery back up should be minimum. Therefore ,Twice or Thrice time in a week use laptop without AC adaptor connection and discharge the battery at minimum 7%.
