In most of case, you don't need to measure the εr by yourself, just know what kind of copper board you are used, and it will very easy to get the related infomation.

antenna impedance of wimax
Since your question is about mobile handset, I think it should be for the 802.16e application.
You don't need to consider MIMO or AAS because there is no this kind of chipset available at this moment, but you should design a SAR compliant antenna for the handset...
My opinion is:
Intel still have little problem on their new chipset.
Fujitsu: a little bit late, but still have a chance to win the market.
Sequans: Good but only 802.16d.
Runcom: Focus on 802.16e and its chipset is availbe for Wibro solutions.
Telecis and Cyguns: no ideal
cavity filter
I think you should know where you want to use these devices. For a cavity filter, it is very expansive compared with a ceramic filter.
Normally, cavity filter will be use in the base station, and the ceramic filter will be use in the CPE.
Today I change the size of patch, then ensemble is no longer match the measurement, don't know why?
The attachment is two ensemble projects and it result (only proj 1).

If there are two Rx ckt before making decision which one is better, I think diversity is useful. It depends on how you design the system.
As for lower sensitivity in open field test, I have similar experience when I test wireless lan. I think the effect that need diversity antenna not happened...
The structure is
layer 1 : ground plane
layer 2 : 79 mil, air.
layer 3 : 31mil FR4 pcb (will be reduce to 20 mil next time), with
1750mil x 1750mil patch, above it, edge feeded.
layer 4 : 250 mil, air
layer 5 : 20 mil roger 4003 pcb with 1550 mil x 1550 mil copper plate...
For 2.4GHz antenna, I just start it so I haven't build array model, only single element available.
I use ie3d, ensemble and cst mws all give different result!
If possible, I will build 4 and 16 elements patch array antenna.
here is the ie3d *.geo
Just cut it and save as *.geo. I have tried, no...
I am designing patch array antenna.
For the 16 and 64 elements patch array antenna in Unii band, it is very fortune, I finished my work within a month. and VSWR is under 1.3 @ 5.1GHz - 5.8GHz.
But for 2.4GHz, I can't find a good solution. this is because all simulation tools that I have used...
circuit diagram of doppler radar iii
VCO can user Delta, please ref.
h**p://***.deltaww.com/pdf/VCO-302E0205.pdf
Mixer can use Hittite HMC207S8, HMC208MS8 or other vendor like Minicircuits.
IF circuits is more easy to find the parts.
after IF circuits, I think a frequency counter or frequency...
radar circuit diagram
This topic is very interesting. If No reference circuit or web can be found,
why we design one.
Which frequency band is your interested ?
ms1234
Sorry for late response! I am not offen to check my email.
Hittite HMC430, 431, 358 VCOs cover freq range from 5.0 to 6.8GHz.
(Or you can try freq multiplier then you can use VCO at lower freq.)
then use deviders from Hittite (HMC 251, 362 ......)
For PLL ICs you can find one from NSC, Fujitsu...
You may found many IC for UNII band in w*w.hittite.com.
Diplexer ? Do you want use Full Duplex in this band ?
Good diplexer is very expensive!
Good luck!
