    I need a dual 5VDC power supply

It seems that with the L165, when giving a 12Vdc input supply voltage, the ooutput wil be +6vdc and -6vdc. Now what can i do to get a fixed +5vdc and -5vdc? Can I use the LM7805 and the LM7905? The input voltage is too low?
