    thanx. but the IC is right one. the problem is solved. the 2 ics i tried were damaged. i got another ic and it worked fine. thanks for help. :)

    the schematic to circuit i mentioned [/img] Added after 6 minutes: in on the other side of IC are pin 1= V+ pin 20=GND rest go to 7 segment displays
