hi.
hear is a link that suggests when to use a switching mode power supply and when a linear one:
**broken link removed**
In summary, designers use linear regulators or LDOs because they are simple, low noise, low cost, easy to use and provide fast transient response.
but otherwise it is more...
hi .
if you want to convert 24 volt to 5 volt, it is better to use a switching regulator instead of linear regulators.
there are many reasons why:
1) because it generates a lot of heat
2) a lot of power is wasted
3) you need to use bigger transformer because you need a lot of power(which is...
hi
you can use "SIM900 GSM/GPRS Module" and a microcontroller to send sms,... .
it costs about 20$ to 30$ .
you can connect module to serial port of your microcontroller and do whatever you want , by using "AT cellular command interface".
there is an evaluation module for sim900:
"SIMCOM...
hi
it is necessary to use transceiver because it changes the signal levels.
in any communication you have different layers.
in CAN there are 4 layers:(according to wikipedia)
1:Application layer
2:Object layer
3:Transfer layer
4:Physical layer
the transceiver IC, only receives data from...
hi.i think you do not have 2 subnet masks.you have two networks
192.168.1.0 - 192.168.1.127
192.168.1.128 - 192.168.1.225
both ip ranges have subnet mask : /25
each number ,divided by commas , is correspond to a binary number.
for 192.168.1.0 to 192.168.1.127 the binary is...
hi.interfacing CAN requires both Hardware and Firmware design. for hardware , MCP2551 is perfect.but for firmware you can use some sample codes instead of reading the datasheet(re inventing the wheel).
nxp has some sample codes : "Sample Code Bundle for LPC23xx". google it.
tnx
hi.first of all you must learn C .then you can watch some videos from youtube,
for instance Lectures of UNC Charlotte Embedded Systems course (ECGR4101/5101) taught by James conrad.
it is obvious than one hour video is not a replacement for hundred pages of a book, but it helps you to get the...
