Well Betwixt, since David90 stated that the capacitors in question "looked like" the picture he posted, I assumed that they were similar but not exactly alike. I made my comment based on his description and, since no one else had made mention of caps that deliberately have a slit in the top, I...
I have both versions. MeterBasic is the freeware version - Meter is the commercial version. Both versions function identical. The commercial version allows you to print more than one scale, use different colors, change fonts, etc. but the basic functionality of both versions is the same. If...
Steve,
I think if you check Dallas AN 105 you'll find the DS1821 is capable of hi-resolution. If you want some to play with, I can mail you a handful :-)

Hello Neelandan,
I've been looking at your circuit this evening and it looks like an interesting project. I've tried to correlate the schematic to your board layout and I'm having some problems with parts placement. There are parts on the schematic that I can't locate on the board layout and...
Actually that will NOT work. The 3 batteries are in series which means that the negative end of the first battery is connected to the positive end of the second battery and the negative end of the second battery is connected to the positive end of the third battery. By connecting the 3...

Varactor or varicap diodes. Do a Google search for varactor diode filters. You should be able to find several informative sites.

Go to **broken link removed** and download an excellent program that will calculate the number of turns required based on the core type.

"but what does "18 gauge" means?"
There are several wire gauge standards and it would depend on which standard was used when the coil size was defined. I would generally assume that the American Wire Gauge (AWG) standard would be used which would make 18AWG wire 0.0403 inches or 1.02362...

I think the latest comments about uploading files that are available elsewhere on the web are a little late when it comes to this posting. Did any of you bother to look at the date of the orignal post? Comments/questions/answers to postings that are over 3...

No problem on calling me but I am out of town on business until Wednesday (darn day job keeps getting in the way of fun!). I'll email you my telephone number when I return so that you know I am home - will send it to your regular email address.
Just as another thought for you to...
If you can follow this crude sketch, you can reverse direction on your DC motor simply by reversing the polarity of the power source. Two switches are all it takes, one to turn the motor on (S-1/SPST) and the other to control the direction (S2/DPDT).
