    Mounting Filter on PCB

    I experienced similar phenomenon. It is added series chip inductor(about 2nH) to connect near pad, the return loss is improved. I think ... keeping filter's high Q , matching circuit must be directly connected to filter. Best regards mory

    microstrip low pass filter

    Hi, John What bandwidth is real pass band? If pass band width is narrow, do you try band-pass filter? For same rejection value band-pass filter is small order than low-pass filter. There is combline and interdigital filter in band-pass filter. regards

    Can we use 0603 or 0402 resistor pad at ku band ?

    Re: Ku band att pad Hi, If you can't neglect parasitic element of chip, ceramic side of chip resistor should be mounted to surface side. (resist side of chip is mounted on substrate side) This mount method is reduced parasitic element of chip resistor. good luck.
