Agilent ADS : determining impedance @ one point ??
hmmm... why dont you place a port at the desired node, and measure the reflection coefficient. From that you can obtain your Impedance.

Weak inversion biasing
Does the same thing apply to the input transistors of a 5-T NMOS input differential amplifier?
Or which amplifiers of a 5-T diff pair, be biased in weak inversion. (assuming current source load or current mirror load)
Re: Weak inversion biasing
Could you please explain in detail as to why you need larger gm/I ratio... and what is meant by bias margin... Shouldn't Vgs increase for higher drain currents, provided Vd does not fall below Vdsat...?
weak inversion
What is the (need for/advantage of) biasing a transistor in Weak inversion region? Plz list some tutorials if anyone might know!

capacitors used as back up supplies
capacitors can store charges ... agreed... So they may be used as voltage sources... agreed again!
But they cannot produce voltages for a long time, as they cannot deliver current!!! They deliver current to the load by a decrease in the voltage across it...
Wrtie an equation describing the scaling from (0.88, 3.5) to (0,2.5). Implement this equation using opamps.
This worked for me at RF operation, to change swing levels.
sigma delta ntf synthesis
Hi...
I used the Schreier Sigma Delta toolbox to design my NTF of order 3...
How do I realize the loop filter in an easily implementable way!!! I mean without using CIFF or CIFB architectures..?
Moreover, I am trying to do the bandpass modulator for GSM as well...
CMOS mixers are of two kinds - Active and Passive
1. Active Mixers are of the Gilbert cell type...
2. Passive Mixers are mere switches...
You may refer to any of the RF design books...
For learning about them, Refer to Razavi's "RF Microelectronics", or Thomas Lee's CMOS RF IC Design...
Resonant frequency chart
Lumped L's are not good for higher frequencies... Why?
The reactance of an 'L' increases with frequency... XL=L*omega
But as frequency increases, the capacitance between two turns of the inductor oil, begins to dominate the impedance, thus resulting in a decrease in...
thermometer code encoding
A Flash ADC will give u a thermometer coded output... For a 3 bit Flash ADC, there are 2^3=8 levels... So outputs are
0000000,0000001,0000011,0000111,0001111,0011111,
0111111,11111111... (Notice that u have 2^N-1 bits for a 2^N ADC... These are converted to a 3-bit...
You may extract the thermometer coded output, and convert to binary, using VerilogA... After all a coding script...
Then store the transformed data, and export onto MATLAB...
