Figuring out how the plosive keys work on the Bell labs / AT&T Voder and reproducing the keys

But also its possible that maybe nothing is being skipped, have been told maybe it is going through all the stages, but you just can't hear it? so all of the stages are being connected its just you can't hear them since the connection is so quick?

Figuring out how the plosive keys work on the Bell labs / AT&T Voder and reproducing the keys

I have been trying to figure how the plosive keys work on the Voder. I have already figured out some of the stuff with the key. I have a diagram from a Patent , that shows how the plosive key works but I don't exactly know for sure if its 100% correct. I am also guessing things could have been...

Is the NJM2068 Op-amp good for use in active filters?

The filters are needed for a 10 band vocoder

Is the NJM2068 Op-amp good for use in active filters?

The frequencies are all in audio range, I need 10 filters, split between 0 to 7500 hz

Is the NJM2068 Op-amp good for use in active filters?

I was looking for op amps for use with making active filters, and I found the NJM2068 dual op amp , as looking at the specs it has a pretty high GBWP of 27 Mhz ,but there is an issue it warns in the datasheet. It says in the datasheet it can have oscillation issues if you use a Capacitive type...

Why do some op amps have a higher GBW than what the unity gain-bandwidth is?

On page 15 of the tl074 datasheet , at the bottom of the page, under Frequency Response , it says the GBW is 5.25 Mhz , unless it is a typo on the page, as on other websites that just list the specs , also say the GBW is 3 Mhz and not 5.25 Mhz If you go to Ti's website and view the tl074 ...

Why do some op amps have a higher GBW than what the unity gain-bandwidth is?

This is mainly a question about the tl074 Operational amplifier and its specifications on its datasheet. Looking on its datasheet its GBW is higher than the listed unity-gain bandwidth. The Unity-gain bandwidth is listed as 3 Mhz , while its GBW is 5.25 Mhz . I thought GBW and unity-gain...

Convert tube relaxation oscillator circuit to modern circuit?

@BradtheRad @d123 @Audioguru @schmitt trigger I just figured out the original tube used in this circuit , it uses a thyratron and found out the thyristor is a modern replacement , Is it possible to modify the circuit above to use a thyristor instead of a thyratron?

Convert tube relaxation oscillator circuit to modern circuit?

I also forgot to say , he told me the circuit is for attack and decay but that is all he told me.

Convert tube relaxation oscillator circuit to modern circuit?

@BradtheRad Technically the left potentiometer changes the range of the pitch pedal . So really I should be able to put another potentiometer in with the pitch pedal, like the original circuit to get the left potentiometer. The potentiometer to the right of the pedal is going to be a little bit...

Convert tube relaxation oscillator circuit to modern circuit?

@Audioguru The bottom one seems the most similar to the original output , what about the 2 potentiometers and the pedal , how would they be connected?

Convert tube relaxation oscillator circuit to modern circuit?

I am trying to have an old tube based relaxation oscillator circuit converted to a modern circuit. This circuit has the ability to be controlled using a pitch pedal ( also a potentiometer ) and with 2 potentiometers . the potentiometer on the left of the pedal changes the range of the pedal ...

Wanting to make a clone of the Bell labs Voder which is a 1939 speech synthesizer

That is actually what I was going to do , someone make a key that uses a potentiometer and spring , so as the key is pressed the sound gets louder and can spring back up to its original state.

Wanting to make a clone of the Bell labs Voder which is a 1939 speech synthesizer

Yeah you actually can't actually play the voder with a single resistance key, because you can't combine keys together that well. Someone already did create a emulator for the voder and it doesn't work right, and I've contacted the person about it , they are saying the keys needs to be...

Wanting to make a clone of the Bell labs Voder which is a 1939 speech synthesizer

I have been wanting to build a clone of the voder. I know mostly how the Voder works , since it is based off Homer Dudleys' Vocoder design in which who is also the designer of the Voder. The circuitry of the voder is simply the 2nd half of a 10 filter vocoder , the decoder part , hooked up to a...
