I just want to add that you will obtain the same resault if you use freqz to compute the spectrum of a digita signal, but i use freqz in this case because it returns the freqency axis in addition to the complex spektrum

for example you will reach the perfect reconstruction if you use Haar filter
as a base filter or another well designed half-pass filter

ur question is strange... you cant send the bitstream to the MIC(did u mean spaeker) however u will need somthing like DAC to play bitstream please give more info.
