As a matter of fact, I managed to draw the antenna myself using the dimensions from the table. My CST doesn't allow to import gerber files, and the DXF seems to be inconsistent.
Hi there,
I'm having a hard time trying to simulate **broken link removed**, but I'm not able to replicate the results shown in the reference design. I'm using CST to simulate, and I assume the only way to do so is using a waveguide port, right? However, no matter what I do, I can't match the...
I'm trying to measure the gain of a high input impedance amplifier to use with a nelectrically small receiving antenna. I made some measurements using a signal generator in the input and a spectrum analyzer in the output. As a result, I got the figure attached. It's weird, because the gain rolls...
All I know is that oscilation occurs when there is some sort of positive feedback in the circuit. However, I don't know what I need to do to avoid this behavior.
Hi there,
I purchased **broken link removed**, which is supposed to work between 1MHz and 800MHz. I made some stability tests connecting the amplifier output to a spectrum analyzer and leaving the input open. It turned out that I see a strong peak around 700 MHz, meaning that the amplifier is...
Great hints! By the way, in my opinion the UI of this software is a pain in the ass! No way I would figure out these stuffs without your help! What about the gerber files viewing? Do you know any software to open those files?
Thanks for your reply. I still have a couple of questions: I'm trying to resize/move/delete the parts names and values, but it seems to be impossible. My board is a real mess because I can't move around the parts names and therefore they are all clustered and overlapping each other. All I can do...
Hi there,
I need help to setup a simulation in CST. I wish to simulate the response of a receiving antenna placed close to a transmitting antenna. Do I need to place to ports, or place one port in the TX antenna and a voltage monitor in the RX antenna?
I'm not considering to buy them. I'm just trying to figure out how do they manage to design such a wideband antenna. The purpose of my current project is to design a similar antenna, RX only, which will be used to scan the whole spectrum between 100kHz and 3GHz, searching for unauthorized...
I am really curious about this antenna: **broken link removed**
I mean, it's not active, although it covers this huge bandwidth (20MHz - 3GHz), despite of its size. Will someone enlighten me about this? What's the secret?
