    Which Diode for Regeneration Current

Hi, Ive got 2 batteries 11v and 7v, one goes to motor and the other feeds the logic on a motor shield and an Arduino. Both batteries go through a DPDT switch, so there is no permanent connection to the batteries (the switch cuts the +ve) to allow regeneration charge to flow back to the battery...

Bonding Earth to Aluminium robot chasis

Hi, thanks for the response. so if I've got this right then I can connect all my battery -ve to the chasis (even though the batteries are different types - lipo/nimh and voltage ratings/mah etc), then take all the -ve for my sensors, arduinos, motors, raspberry pis, lights etc and connect all...

[SOLVED] Help with emegency shutdown and fuse ratings on circuits

Hi thanks for the repsonse, whats the best way to have a delay on the fuse ? A capacitor ? And if so what rating ? If I have the battery connected to a motor shield and then the motor shield connected to the motor, and I want to do 150% of motor (this will be 3 Amp) I presume I put a fuse...

Bonding Earth to Aluminium robot chasis

Hi, I have a Aluminium chasis robot, the wheels are metal (but wrapped in rubber tank tracks - so no connection to Earth). I have various voltages on the system 12v to motors and shield, 7 v to Arduino and R Pi 3's (via DC-DC converter). Should I just onnect allthe -ve terminals of my batteries...

[SOLVED] Help with emegency shutdown and fuse ratings on circuits

Hi, So I am making a robot, and I have an 11 volt lipo battery supplying my 12v motors through the roboclaw 30a. I have the logic for the RClaw and an Arduino from a separate 7v battery (to prevent the effects of brown outs and other stuff). What I want is to make all this as safe as possible...
