I want to know how much gain of optical amplifiers can be increased.
Does gain depend on the length of fiber.
I also want to know what is the limit of length of optical fiber to use OPTICAL AMPLIFIERS.

I am working on Optical OFDM using Optisystem. Detection used is Coherent.
I used 4QAM modulator and demodulator.
It is basically four channel OFDM each having data rate of 10 Gb/s.
These four channels are send simultaneously using WDM.
The Transmission link consists of two optical amplifiers...

I replace 4QAM modulators and demodulators with 16QAM.
The constellation diagram at transmitter side is perfect 16 QAM.
But it is not as expected at 16 QAM demodulator.
I am implementing Optical Ofdm in optisystem. It show fine constellation graph at reciever with 4 QAM but when i use 16 QAM encoding the constellation graph is not like the graph that i need. I am using 512 subcarriers.
I am trying to implement Hybrid optical OFDM on Optisystem 10 software.
I have problem during reception of a signal.
No signal is present after OFDM demodulator.

I have problem after coherent detection. There is no signal after OFDM Demodulator.
CONSETLLATION GRAPH IS NOT SHOWING ANYTHING.
The Trasmitter side is working properly.
