using
lmcksum -c 5280@hostname
dumps out the text file of the license with check sum values.
remove the checksum value from the dump file and you have the orignal license file.
lmstat dump license file
I have a setting CDS_LIC_FILE 5280@hostname
I want to read the license.dat file that is associate with the port.
I use lmstat and see the path of the license file, but I don't have permission to login to the host.
Question, can I read the license file thru the port...

I was playing around with changing the HWaddr on eth0.
It worked great.
My question is can I change the HWaddr to a 8byte address instead of a 12 byte address?
Can I use the HW Class Address in ifconfig to achieve that?
If yes what are the syntax for the
different class? ether, ax25...
