DSP Engrs are needed everywhere from Radios, Wireless Systems to Control Applications (sensor based detection and control). You can be for sure that tomorrrow's world of Communications would primarily be a A/D, D/A Converter with a powerful DSP processor in the middle layer...
what makes matlab slower than c
Does anybody know if either Matlab or C++ can be used in Real-time systems ? I know Matlab has a Real-time toolbox but I have never used it. Any of your suggestions would really help.

Can somebody suggest a good DSP Emulator for PIC, ARM microcontrollers. Is there something like a universal emulator for both families of DSP chips.

Do try using Ansoft HFSS. It is slightly an expensive tool but considering the ease of usage and closeness to actual values, it is defy worth it.

My first book for u to read would be Lyons book. Based on your progress you can move on to Mitra's book. You will also feel helpful to have Matlab software and some DSP emulator board...

Besides there are numerous other ppl who offer it for much lesser. For $35, you have to do better than give a scanned copy man.
