If you download propic XP software form propic web,
"Write" function will not work (Disable).
Use ICProg or pay $$$ for propic XP.

Follow the sketch attached, add one resistor 22k form BSI terminal to ground then you can press on the phone.
However, DC in should be 3.8V ~ 4.2V.
Please note that your terminals info with BSI and Batt Temp reversed.

ic-prog is direct support propic2 hardware, the function stable also indicate the IC position when select different device's.
You also can select the propic2 hardware at Winpic800.
But the program LED always "on" even after you have completed program and quite.
So call...

Propic2 XP WRITE function been disable by author, unless you register and paid $.
You can use icprog or Winpic800 instead of Propic2 XP.
I still prefer Propic2 software, but Need $$$.
When use Winpic800 in WinXP, sometime software automatically shut down,
Also the MCLR indication LED always on ( this LED will automatic off when in propic2 software during program quit).
No device position show.
Icprog is good, more stable...
Re: power supply problem
1) Try to disable the micon reset pin, if the reset NOT happen again, then focus on the reset path, may be voltage sensor need to be added.
2) If still happen then is line power interruption issue. add choke, filter proper grounding, Please note that Capacitor value...
Talk about if you pay $ to register and get the original software then work...
The Program mode been removed if you download trail version fron Propic2 web.
Unless you pay for register the software.

Trail version of original software for propic2 XP don't work for ptogramming at all..
measured the program data and found extra pluse appeared during "write" command.

But must of value file need "POINT" to download.. I have ZERO points.
