Hello,
The vendor I am contacting for my LiPo battery provides IEC62133 certified batteries but asked me if I want to add an NTC Thermistor to the PCB of the battery pack?
This would simplify our assembly work but I do not want it to have issues with the certificate that the battery has.
I...
You are right but I do not want them to be rigid. Like heat shrink tubing, which can adapt to the dimensions of where it is being used. But bigger, transparent and thinner.
Hi,
I would like to add an enclosure to my board but I do not want it to be a plastic case, like the typical project boxes. The reason for that is that I have several components that are higher than the buttons that I have in the board. I was thinking in something like an ESD Bag but...
That's exactly what I am trying to do. I was mainly concerned about not interfering with the SPI signals, considering capacitances of the probes, etc.
I don't need a logic Analyzer. If one package is fine and as expected for the slave, I will then send the rest of the message accordingly.
Thank...
Hi,
I am looking for and oscilloscope that would help me to measure these signals:
- SPI of at least 20 MHz (the max freq would be of 60 MHz but I could test at 20 MHz)
- 12 MHz clock signal
- i2c
Would this help? https://www.farnell.com/datasheets/1519694.pdf
I am mostly concerned about the...
Hi,
I am going to pay for some board house to do the assembly as the process will be safer if I do so and I would like to know if the glue layer is actually needed. It's going to be Advanced Circuits and the only requirement they state in their site is the Cream layer which I have already...
Hi,
I am almost ready to build a pcb but I am not really sure if I go to the standard specs, which uses lead-free HAL plating or to something custom using another plating. It will be done by Advanced Circuits, 4PCB, by the way.
How can one determine that?
The probably "more complicated"...
Hi guys,
Regarding this same package, LQFP 100. I have found differences with the suggested land patterns in the pad's length. I found some places that it is 1.35 mm but in others it is 1.50 mm (as QFP or TQFP 100)...
That's what I am going to do. Have 2 mils on both sides of the pad and have 0.3 mm as width for the pads. I downloaded a different library and that's what they do. That's seem fine for Advanced Circuits too. Thanks.

Marce, that's seems reasonable too. I asked this to...
Hi All,
Thanks for your help. I use metrics but Advanced Circuits doesn't. At least for their freeDFM service.
So, the best thing to do is to have them equally sized as the pads, right?
I have created other manually and the default setup, in Eagle, made them overlap. I can change that. The one...
Hi,
I used Eagle to do my board and now that I finished I sent my gerber files to 4PCB. I used freeDFM but I get these results:
Insufficient SMT Soldermask Clearance (100 violations)
Requirements:We require a minimum of .003" soldermask clearance. This is achieved by a soldermask relief .006"...
