Second check software : difinition of Digital I/O (off ADC port),difinition output pin

What do u want to initialize?
If u want to declare Port,reg,pin that's in file 89c51.h (in some compiler folder for atmel )
If u want to initialize timer,serial it belongs to your purpose and there're alots examples in folder Examples of compiler you used.

it belongs to the system require,which parameters to alarm?door open,temperature,humid,camera...?
then convert the output signal from sensor ( temp,humid,door open....) to go to process.
powerline communications schematic
I've done the PLM project using ST modem IC.As irfansyah said,the problem is low impedence of low voltage grid.When i create myown grid(after transformer 220-220V) the transmition is ok,but when connect to the real grid the signal is too small to transmit.
