I think you can try design with FR4 substrate first and see the results. What i know for UWB it is better to use other substrate such as Rogers, Taconic etc since FR4 provide more loss. But, there is researcher that prove that FR4 also can operate in UWB frequency (up to 10.6 GHz) but the...
