The RCS measurements are generally done with a bistatic arrangement with CW illuminations. But in Radar, the pulse widths can be as low as 1us. Does the RCS of a shape depend on the time of illumination of target, if it is a low illumination time case?

I have designed an 8x8 probe fed rectangular patch antenna array with the aperture amplitude distribution corresponding to Taylor 30 dB side lobe level. The patch elements are loaded with U-shaped slots to enhance bandwidth. The power divider network is realised by means of corporate...
USB or PCI based data acquisition and display systems would cost you more than a benchtop oscilloscope. Try in your circle for any abandoned or old cathode ray tube based oscilloscopes from Industries which should serve your purpose. I assume you aren't looking for any high frequency applications.
It is not common to complete a circuit with 3D views. However, if your application calls for it, you may have to build libraries for yourself and use any 3D solver such as CST, HFSS, etc.. to model the connections. That would be very cumbersome I believe. May I know why you would want to have a...
Brian,
Thanks for your help. My only worry is whether the frequency deviation of GFSK at 900 MHz is harldy 100 KHz. Will that be preserved on an X-Band carrier and there on till the down conversion to demodulator?

Brian,
Thanks for your help. My only worry is whether the...
Allow me correct the question friends. For practical reasons, we have moved to 900 MHz Transceiver and the modulation is GFSK. Does the upconversion and downconversion work to X-Band and Down to 900 MHz?
Hi,
We are designing a wireless link for command guidance at X-Band. We are planning to use an ISM 2.4GHz transceiver and use frequency multiplication to translate the RF out to X-Band during transmission. For reception, we are planning to down convert using mixer to 2.4GHz and allow the same...
I'm designing a patch array antenna for monopulse application. It is an 8x8 array. Can you suggest me the guide lines as to how to go about the design of feed network? The amplitude distribution chosen is Taylor with a sidelobe level of 30dB.
Thanks,
Hello,
I'm working on applications of metamaterials in microwave engineering. My work involves simulating 3D structures over wideband for which I'm looking for a time-domain solver than a frequency domain one. Please drop in your recommendations for suitable software that can do the simulation...
Hi,
The types of vias you mentioned depends on which layers the components to be interconnected are present. A blind via starts on the top layer and ends before the bottom layer( You cannot see its other end hence blind). A buried via starts after the top layer and ends before the bottom layer...
Iam trying to understand the impact of sign of permittivity and permeability on behavior of materials. This may be a more specific question. Kindly discuss.
Hello,
Kindly discuss the properties of permittivity and permeability of materials, impact of their magnitude and sign on the behavior of materials.

Thanks for your time pal. I'm familiar with the math around divergence. I'm looking practical validation of it. Example of a field with sources present in the region whose divergence value matches with the source present in the volume. Correct me if i interpreted your answer wrongly.
