Waveport in FEKO?
Don't worry. EDITFEKO it much more powerfull and easy once you graps its logic.
Any help you might need dont be afraid to ask.
If you think i helped, please press the helped me button,

Re: Wire radius in mom?
I am trying to simulate the structure in the picture in order to compare results.
I use the FEKO 5.3 software but it doesnt specify anywere if it is a thin wire approximation. I know that certain constraints must be implemented, such as the ratio of the segment radius...
Hi
i have been struggling with MOM for some time now. It seems that the S11 parameter is depended on the radius of the wires i use.
I saw that a good value for a coaxial wire is a radius of 0.5mm
I also need to use simple wires connecting the edges of two patches on a substrate(microstrip...
a coaxial to microstrip transitiion
Hi
I have successfully simulated with FEKO a microstrip patch antenna with coaxial probe excitation(via hole). My question however, is irelevant to the program used.
I now want to approximate a microstrip line excitation but i am buffled as to how i will...
patch antenna + shape
During the design of a microstrip planar antenna array how do you choose the shape of the patches?
I have seen various patches: Square,Rectangle,triangle,circular...
Is there any practical diference between square and rectangle and why choose one over another?
Thanks
I try to design a symmetrical microstrip patch array antenna with symmetry in the x and y axis. The problem is the simulation results for all my different tries (50) produce a main lobe(Theta =0 ,Phi =0) gain of -198db.
Now,the reason i originally decided to create this structure is because i...
Ok, first of all bear in mind that the connection of the two "boards" has effect on the impedance characteristics.
The main problem is that you need to define a cable-line too small compared to the real radius.
You should try editFeko. In Edit Feko you can define various sources of...
well, my optimization goes both to reflection coeff. and peak gain-shape but my original question was if there are any "rules" about the position of the source so as not to go blindly about it.
yeah, send me the feko file i have pm you.
Actually in real life the cable is far longer than the segment you define in the model and maybe thats the problem.
Try reducing the radius to diameter/16. or more until you get no error and check your results.Anywaysend me the specifications or the feko...
First of all verify that your model is correct. Then you can try to change the position of the source feed to change S11.
How did you design the source-port?
Are you working in CadFeko or EditFeko?
Also try changing the length/width a little bit and see what happens.
You can try this aproach
