Amplification of 74AC14 square wave output

Dear betwixt, How can you amplify the with a saturated amplifier and some parallel inverters.i can't understand how it is possible in saturated state. - - - Updated - - - Dear sunnyskyguru, Your post certainly helped me.I was not aware of the high voltage schmitt triggers. But the circuit...

Amplification of 74AC14 square wave output

Thanks for the reply. Actually what i have tried on the board is HD74LS14 IC. Which is quite similar to AC14 but the rise time is 10ns higher in LS14.The commonly available DIP ic in our country is LC14.Others are SMT ones. That's why i used that. Is there any particular reason to use HC or HCT...

Amplification of 74AC14 square wave output

Hi, Currently I'm developing a square wave form of 1MHz using 74ac14 schmitt trigger ic. I have faced major problems in doing so as follows. 1. The square waveform get distorted after 200kHz I have tried to address the 1st one with using 555 timer and xp2206 ic.But they are even worse above...

ADC (Analog to Digital) boards at 10 - 40 MSamples/s rate

@carpenter : did you mean the resolution? The resolution should be 10 - 14 bit. The application is TDR with a step impulse transmitted through the line

ADC (Analog to Digital) boards at 10 - 40 MSamples/s rate

Hi I would like to know what are the better ADC boards available at the market now in the range of 10 -40 Msamples/second I'm hoping to use this to build a simple TDR Thank you

[Moved] High resolution data samplings using Low data acquisition rates devices

Re: [Moved]High resolution data sampling using Low data aquisition rates devices Yes that also occurred to me. But if we use ETS(Equivalent Time Sampling) with a compensation for variation in position we can derive the received signal upto a certain accuracy.Right??? Then what are the methods...

[Moved] High resolution data samplings using Low data acquisition rates devices

[Moved]High resolution data sampling using Low data aquisition rates devices Hi I am currently following a course in RADAR. I'm wondering how it is possible to achieve such high data acquisition rates by the receiver. If to send a 1ns pulse the receiver should sample at 10GHz rate(sampled at...

OrCAD simulation of 74ac14 hex-schmitt trigger

Hi I tried implementing a schmitt trigger oscillator using orcad 9. But it does not show the any waveform.just a dc of supply voltage at output Why is that??? This is my circuit diagram

    Train detection system

My target is to develop other than a GPS system. That's why i'm looking for other possible methods. Budget should be less than USD200.

    Train detection system

Thanks But what do you mean by using RF signals for detection systems???

    Train detection system

It should be accurate within 5m and speed in 1 decimal. Application is to detect speed and distance from a station

    Train detection system

Guys, Please suggest me the methods of detecting distance to train and its speed that you have come across. one obvious is GPS/GSM methods:-) Thank you

Time-Domain Reflectometer (TDR) to find distance to an object

Thanks for your replies. But i think in continuously welded rails it will be possible to implement my idea. Also using FDM along with TDM i may be able to isolate the disturbance occurred by the train (change of impedance) Any suggestions. I am really trying to be optimistic and make my idea a...

Time-Domain Reflectometer (TDR) to find distance to an object

Hi thanks for your replies But as most of our railways in the country are replaced by Continuous welded rails won't it be possible??? I am checking the possibility of using FDM along with TDM. So i will be able to filter out the additional disturbance and isolate the impedance change created by...
