the battery that i want to use wiht this is samsung icr18650-30a SDI (3000mah .. fully charged voltage 4.35 . fully discharged voltage 2.7 .. howver i am ok with this circuit discharging till 3 volts as its boost circuit output is not within usb limits at that volatge)...
no certain cells are rated for 4.3 volts. my nexus 5 charges to 4.318 volts then stops .. verified by multimeter as well as a software from play store ampere ..
certain liion above 2600 require this ..
the batteries are good one .. and are being charged to 4.3 volts correctly using another charger..
i need to modify this ic/board
1: to charge at max or near max of its capability.
2: charge till 4.3

i have bought a xiaomi battery bank 10400 mah but it is fake. one of its cell is filled with sand.
others are of poor quality hardly 300-500mah each.

i have electricity generator .. i want to tell it a schedule when to turn on and when to turn off .. the generator starts generating electricity by turning the key in its switch .. and when i want to turn it off i just need to rotate it...

try to ideftify if they are bjt transistors by using diode test .. if these are transistors u can identify if its pnp or npn and also its legs and u can also get its beta ..

i think u quoted the wrong man.. anyhow ur advice to OP is one which i would also give.. these charger thingies are higly one job specific .. to modify them so siginificantly means ... ... a lot of work... risk .. and worst no result....

so u mean i connect 12 volts directly to hdd and also make this 12 volts as input to 7805 and connect the 7805 output to the 5 volts pins of hdd ? thanks

is it possible to use just one adapter to obtain both 5v and 12 volts ?
i have a 12volts regulated switch mode adapter.. and its current rating is 3.5 Amps so can i just use it somehow ? or i need a seperate 5v adapter for the 5v ?
