In my opinion, "hspicerf" is used to simulate circuits in the high frequency domian while "hspice" is used in the low frequency domain. Now I have a question, if I have a circuit whose working frequency is 1.5M , is there any difference when I simulate it with "hspicerf" and "hspice" ? and...
I use Abstract to genetate the LEF files from a layout. when I read the technology file, there are a lot of errors and warnings, as follow:
ERROR (ABS-216): There are insufficient metal layers defined in the current design. You must define at least two metal layers in the prRoutingLayers...
sensor design
Hellow, everyone!
I want to design a frequency sensor to detect the signal frequecy. When the frequency is lower than 3M, the sensor will work to alarm. Because there is no reference clock , so the counter-based method will not work here. I decide to first change the frequency...
Thank you very much for all of your replies. Your suggestions are very good. But I also have another question.
The clock spikes may be as follow:

So first of all I should remove the spikes with a low pass filter whose pass-band cut-off frequency may be not too high above 15M, as some...

Thanks.
But the problem is that if the pass-band cut-off frequency is setted to 2M, then the signal close to 2M will also be distorted. Is there any other method, may be not an ordinary low pass filter, will be possible?

The input signal is a square wave with frequency may be above 2M. Now I want to design a low pass filter to surpress the signal above 2M. If the frequency of the inout square is above 4M, no signal will pass the filter. Does anybody knows how to design this filter without...
The input clock frequency is among 5M~15M. At first , the clock spikes should be removed. I want to cope with it with a ordinary low pass filter, whose pass-band cut-off frequency is 15.5M. But the simulation result imply that the clock will also be distorted, especially when the frequency close...
