fast gpio ports
Hi hbaocr,
In addition to what vhn has specified you will also have to set the SCS register to enable the fast IO for port0 and port1.
hope this helps.
cheers

Re: LPC ARM Programming
Hi saudrehman,
You could go for the Hitex's "Insiders guide". This is a good book for ARM LPC2000 starters (using Keil C) and can be read in parallel to the user manual. Just make a google search for "hitex" and "insiders guide".
The PDF is about 8Mb in size.
If you...
ucosii rar
Hi Kars_jk,
No, I am not having the same directory structure as in the CD. I have taken all the files (source and headers) and put them in same directory as in the rar file above. i have changed the path in the header files. Are they correct?
Thanks,
Kannan.k

ucos-ii rapidshare
Hi ppl,
I got the book for UcosII and have started reading the book. but am not to compile the basic example program. I am actually using Turbo C when the book recommends version 4.5....
I have attached both the error screenshot and the source files that i am using. i took...
lm35 adc
Hi Raghunath.
The temperature range of LM35 is -55 to +150 ^C. So that should not be a problem.
**broken link removed**
Just like CMOS, mgajo and tmbinc had suggested, LM75 would be a better option in an industrial environment. I2C code can easily be bit-banged, so even the most...
Hi people
I noticed few members have requested UMPS since it not avaliable over the net now... so i have uploaded it to rapidshare...
it expires after 90(?) days of use... but this can be over come. It is so powerfull that even in the trial version that you can easily build whole applications...
Re: small serial port project, and hello from a new member :
Hi
The optocouplers would also be a better option. I not sure which pin you are reffering to
i presume you are asking if the voltage level in a LPT port is pulled low and using software we set it to one will there be any damage to...
Re: small serial port project, and hello from a new member :
Hi Izua
You would definetly need buffer ICs for the interfacing. The LPT port cannot give current more than a few milli amps. So it cannot drive the 7seg leds direct.
You can connect the bcd to 7seg converter( 4 pins) and use a 3 to...
Re: small serial port project, and hello from a new member :
Hi Izua :)
welcome to EDA board.
Regarding your project you could use the parallel port. The parallel port has 8 data lines and 5(if i am not wrong) control lines. You could use them to send the pulses you require. the advantage is...
Hi
Its not a good idea to solder and re solder the IC many times. I would recommend an IC base. It would prevent the IC from being exposed to the soldering heat many times.

Hi
Does anbody know where to get the MMC/SD card holders in Chennai(India)??? or if any one is willing to sell me the card holders i will gladly buy it.....
I have tried almost all of the shops in mount road.....
I am trying out the MMC/SD card interfacing and need the card holder.
Thanks :)...
Hi
I believe you are using a microcontroller to send the text. and you are using IDEs like KE!L or MP1AB....
It function name need not be printf (its just a name). You can create your own function, and send the string to be displayed to the function. The function can have all the necessary...
picaxe gsm module
Hi
For this project IMHO a simple microcontroller can be used.
You could start off with measuring the temperature. you can use either a sensor that gives a digital op ( for example I2C temperature sensor or likewise) or use a sensor that gives callibrated analog output (ex...
