    i have some confusion on crystal oscillate.

    the remark of crystal oscillate circuit as: In the above circuit, Resistor R1 is used to bais the invecer and to cause it to operate in its linear region. Resistor R2 is used to bias the crystal unit. I can't understand it. who can explain the meaning to me. thanks!
