Hi Paul,
it is many years ago what I used DOS util. I use only win. version. But what I know is that the default baudrate is 9600 N 8 1 and ASCII protocol. For communication use connector ST21. The service connector ST23 no longer supported (from firmware V1.4 onwards). See attached doc. page...
tiris protocol
Hi,
if you want use TBP (Tiris Bus Protocol) you must change the settings of RI-CTL... The best way is download Tiris Reader Utility (S2Util). You can read how to use this prog. in the attached file. Notice: after you change configuration you must switch on the first contact on...
Resistor 10KOhm or lower will be good, it is only inportant don't cross Vgs Gate Threshold Voltage. . My opinion is that you needn't use the resistor in series between PCA and mosfet.

Hi Fuzzzy,
I thihg that the Mosfets can be ON during startup. In the schematic picture you can see the reason. When an I/O is configured as an input, FETs Q1 and Q2 are off, creating a high impedance input with a weak pull-up 100k to VDD. One solution of this problem is connect resistor betwen...

Hi,
PADS2005 SPac2 allows you to open an Orcad schematic file or OrCAD library file directlz into PADS Logic. See 'How-to' video demonstration in attached file.

Hi Moustafa,
look on www.semiconductors.philips.com/products/interface_control/i2c/products/index.html You can use for example PCA 9512, PCA 9515 etc.

making copper pour pads layout
I have the same problem. I think it is property of layout. My resolution is Tools->Pour Manager->Hatch->Hatch All->Start. The resolution is the same as your solution. If anybody know better way let me know.
