I might think of moving in Europe in another couple of years or so. Being an Asian, my first preference would definitely be the southern countries, but seems like there are not too many jobs there (except France probably).

I left India in 2008. Based on my experience, I think it could vary quite well (may be the lower end is 10 LPA, the higher 25 LPA, if you are really an exception...I have seen people earning that amount).

I am presently based in Silicon valley but have a plan to move East in a few years.
I am from India, however, I am considering Singapore as another option. Can anybody let me know about the job prospects there for an ASIC verification (and some amount of RTL design)...

I'd say, marginally better. I have seen a couple hirings over last 2-3 months. There isn't any news of big layoffs as well.
If things go on this way, hirings may again start in 4th quarter or so...

excellent!! I am originally from India... I have worked there for 3 years. I believe this emperical formula is very true (only after first 5-7 years it becomes almost 2*years_of_exp.....)
