Yes, you certainly can. However, you must first calibration the distance, and antenna gain of your receiving antenna to your power meter. Hope this helps.

Testing tx noise in rx band is to ensure the overall noise or spurs should not desense the neighbouring cell phones. Mainly the overall noise and spurs comes from the TRX and PA. As in GSM, the ASM and FEM should work in isolating the noise to affect the TRX.

If it is below spec, harmonics may not be much affected. But higher noise in rx is expected. I suppose you realise that most PA the keep the bias point
constant, the gain the first stage is kept high and the overall noise power is...
