    Where do we need attenuators?

    Hi, attenuators are said to be ubiquitous. Surely I have seen attenuators in oscilloscops and spectrum analyzers. What about other receivers? Are there attenuators in transmitters?

    It’s clear the rotation rate is determined by the signal frequency, but for a signal with 1 MHz bandwidth the signal frequencies aren’t unique.
